For the past ten years the Assyrian Aid Society of America and our sister organization, the Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq, have been working to relieve the hardships suffered by our people in the ancestral Homeland. During this time villages have been rebuilt, roofs have been replaced, irrigation systems have been repaired or built anew, students have been educated, and medical clinics have been established.

The Assyrian Aid Society of America is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization supported solely by private contributions. In fiscal year 2001, approximately 93 cents of every dollar donated to AAS-A went directly to projects in Northern Iraq.

Our work continues, and our work grows.

The Assyrian Aid Society, both here and in Iraq, cannot exist and continue to grow without your support and your generosity.

I know you receive appeals for many good causes. I sincerely hope that battling the hardships faced daily by our brothers and sisters in the Homeland is a cause which is alive in your heart.

The life of an Assyrian family in North Iraq can be drastically changed by your decision to contribute to the Assyrian Aid Society. Just as there are no small prayers, there are no small donations. The dollars you give, when combined with the dollars of others, can build a house or dig a well or put medicine into the body of an ailing child.
