ASSYRIAN AID SOCIETY OF AMERICA
The Assyrian Aid Society of America is a charitable 501(c)(3) humanitarian organization dedicated for over a quarter-century to helping Assyrians in need, promoting Assyrian culture and heritage, and focusing American and international attention on the needs and humanitarian concerns of the Assyrian people.
Since the ISIS invasion of Mosul of June 2014, the Assyrian Aid Society of America (AAS-A) has raised over $2 million in donations and grants to assist families who have been displaced. AAS-A has provided humanitarian aid to those whose world was shattered, and today continues to help our people rebuild their homes and their lives.
IN THE NEWS
AAS-A has launched our second annual Adopt-A-Student pledge program. For just $50 each month you can help subsidize the costs of transportation, teachers' salaries, and the translating and printing of textbooks in the Assyrian language, ensuring our Assyrian curriculum can continue and thrive.
AAS-A and our sister organization, Assyrian Aid Society - Iraq, established the Assyrian school system after the First Gulf War. Assyrian children are being taught in their own Assyrian language by Assyrian teachers from textbooks printed in Assyrian, from primary school through high school.
